When Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey, arose, and went home to his city, set his house in order, and hanged himself; and he died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.


He said to him, “YHWH says, ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will die-die.’”


Now therefore YHWH says, “You will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will die-die.”’” Then Elijah departed.


He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.


Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “YHWH, the God of Israel, says ‘You have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, and I have heard you.


Then he turned his face to the wall and prayed to YHWH, saying,


YHWH said to Moses, “Look, the day of your death is approaching. Call Joshua and y’all present yourselves* in the Tent of Meeting, so that I may commission him.” Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting.


YHWH said to Moses, “Look, you are about sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.


For indeed he was sick nearly to death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.


because he almost died for the work of Christ, risking his life to supply what was lacking in y’all’s service toward me.
