The king says, ‘Hezekiah must not be allowed to deceive y’all, because he can’t deliver y’all from my hand.


He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.


It may be YHWH your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which YHWH your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”


When you rebuke and correct a person for iniquity, you consume their wealth like a moth. Surely every human is but a breath.” Selah.


Y’all must not harden your* hearts, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,


Do I bring a baby to the point of birth and not deliver it?” says YHWH. “Do I, the one who delivers, shut the womb?” says your God.


The sorrows of a travailing woman will come on him. He is an unwise son, for when it is time, he doesn’t come to the opening of the womb.


I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”
