2 Kings 11:4 - Y'all Version Bible

4 In the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the captains over hundreds of the Carites and of the guard, and brought them to him into the house of YHWH. He made a covenant with them, and made a covenant with them in the house of YHWH, and showed them the king’s son.

Joseph took an oath from the children of Israel, saying, “God will visit-visit y’all, and y’all are to carry up my bones from here.”


Now Joab was over all the army of Israel, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites,


Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief ministers.


King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the door of the king’s house.


As YHWH your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. When they said, ‘He is not here,’ he took an oath of the kingdom and nation that they didn’t find you.


Jehoiada made a covenant between YHWH and the king and the people, that they should be YHWH’s people; also between the king and the people.


He took the captains over hundreds, and the Carites, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of YHWH, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king’s house. He sat on the throne of the kings.


He was hidden with her in the house of YHWH for six years while Athaliah reigned over the land.


The captains over hundreds did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded; and they each took his men, those who were to come in on the Sabbath with those who were to go out on the Sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.


Then King Joash called for Jehoiada the priest, and for the other priests, and said to them, “Why aren’t y’all repairing the damage to the house? Now, y’all are to take no more money from your* treasurers, except to give* it for repair of the damage to the house.”


The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before YHWH to walk after YHWH and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people agreed to the covenant.

Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple guard, and the chief priests heard this report, they were very bewildered, wondering what would come of this.


So the captain went with the officers and brought the apostles, not using any force because they were afraid that the people would stone them.


So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.


Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.


They both made a covenant before YHWH. Then David stayed in the woods and Jonathan went to his house.
