No one who has a remnant of the Spirit does this. What did that one do when he was seeking an offspring of God? Therefore pay attention to y’all’s spirit, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.


Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, “Indeed, this child is destined to cause the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against.


May YHWH repay your work. And may a full reward be given to you from YHWH, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”


Then the elders and everyone at the gate said, “We are witnesses. May YHWH make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, both of whom built the house of Israel. May you prosper in Ephrathah and become famous in Bethlehem.


She vowed a vow, and said, “YHWH Almighty, if you will indeed look at the affliction of your servant and remember me, and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a boy, then I will give him to YHWH all the days of his life, and no razor will ever come on his head.”
