Y’all must not rely on a neighbor. Y’all must not have confidence in a friend. From the one laying in your bosom, You must guard the words of your mouth!


The Spirit of YHWH came mightily on him, and he tore him as he would have torn a young goat with his bare hands, but he didn’t tell his father or his mother what he had done.


He took it into his hands, and went on, eating as he went. He came to his father and mother and gave to them, and they ate, but he didn’t tell them that he had taken the honey out of the lion’s body.


Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as YHWH had spoken to him. Because he feared his father’s household and the men of the city, he could not do it by day, but he did it by night.


Saul chose for himself three thousand men of Israel, of which two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in the Mount of Bethel, and one thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin. He sent the rest of the people to their own tents.


So it came to pass in the day of battle that neither sword nor spear was found in the hand of any of the people who were with Saul and Jonathan; but Saul and Jonathan his son had them.


The garrison of the Philistines went out to the pass of Michmash.


Saul stayed in the uttermost part of Gibeah under the pomegranate tree which is in Migron; and the people who were with him were about six hundred men,


She said to her young men, “Y’all go on ahead me. Look, I am coming after y’all.” But she didn’t tell her husband, Nabal.
