There I have set a place for the ark, in which is YHWH’s covenant, which he made with our fathers when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.”


There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moses put there at Horeb, when YHWH made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.


The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark in front of the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen outside; and it is there to this day.


YHWH went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:


In the morning watch, YHWH looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.


As Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, they looked toward the wilderness, and saw YHWH’s glory appearing in the cloud.


Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omer-full of manna in it, and place it before YHWH, to be preserved throughout y’all’s generations.”


You are to put the covenant which I will give you into the ark.


You are to put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you are to put the covenant that I will give you.


He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.


YHWH’s glory mounted up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of YHWH’s glory.


and YHWH said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.


YHWH said to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the covenant, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their complaining against me, that they not die.”


On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony. At evening it was over the tabernacle, as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.


“Y’all are to take this book of the law and put it by the side of the ark of YHWH y’all’s God’s covenant, so that it may be there as a witness against you.


Hᴇ declared ʜɪꜱ covenant to y’all, which ʜᴇ commanded y’all to follow, that is the Ten Commandments. Hᴇ wrote them on two stone tablets.

The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from ʜɪꜱ power. No one was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
