He said, “Far be it from me that I should do so. The man in whose hand the cup was found, he will be my slave. But the rest of y’all, go in peace to y’all’s father.”


They said to him, “Why does my lord say such words? Far be it from your servants that they would do such a thing!


and said, “My God forbid that I should do this! Should I drink the blood of these men who have put their lives in jeopardy?” For they risked their lives to bring it. Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.


Far be it from me that I would declare y’all correct. Until I die, I will not deny my integrity.


Moreover the prince must not take from the people’s inheritance, evicting them from their property. He is to give inheritance to his sons from of his own possession, so that my people will not be scattered from their property.”’”


“‘The land must not be sold in perpetuity, because the land is mine. Y’all are strangers and live as foreigners with me.


No inheritance of the children of Israel is to pass from tribe to tribe. For the children of Israel will all keep the inheritance of their ancestral tribe.


No inheritance is to pass from one tribe to another tribe. For the tribes of the children of Israel will each keep their own inheritance.’”


Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not! Instead, we uphold the law.


Absolutely not! Yes, let God be found true, but every human a liar. As it is written, “that you might be justified in your words, and might conquer when you come into judgment.”


Absolutely not! For then how will God judge the world?


What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not!


Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin, still live in it?


Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Absolutely not! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.


What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! But I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known forbidden desire unless the law had said, “You must not covet.”


Don’t y’all know that y’all’s bodies are members of Christ? Should I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Absolutely not!


But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.


“Far be it from us that we should rebel against YHWH, and turn away today from following YHWH, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides YHWH our God’s altar that is before his tabernacle!”


The people answered, “Far be it from us that we should forsake YHWH to serve other gods.


As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against YHWH by ceasing to pray for y’all. I will instruct y’all in the good and the right way.


He said to his men, “YHWH forbid that I should do this thing to my lord, YHWH’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, since he is YHWH’s anointed.”
