1 Kings 19:11 - Y'all Version Bible

11 He said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before YHWH.” Just then, YHWH passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before YHWH. But YHWH was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake. But YHWH was not in the earthquake.

Then YHWH answered Job out of the whirlwind,


Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before ʜɪᴍ. It is very stormy around ʜɪᴍ.


The earth trembled. The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God of Sinai— at the presence of God, the God of Israel.


You, God, sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance when it was weary.


On the third day, when it was morning, there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of an exceedingly loud trumpet; and all the people who were in the camp trembled.


YHWH came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. YHWH called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.


All the people saw the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.


YHWH said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”


Moses entered into the middle of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.


Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain.


YHWH passed by before him, and proclaimed, “YHWH! YHWH, the merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth,


YHWH will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.


I looked, and there was a stormy wind came out of the north: a great cloud, with flashing lightning, and a brightness around it, and out of the middle of it as it were glowing metal, out of the middle of the fire.


So I prophesied as I was commanded. As I was prophesying, there was a noise and a rattling sound, and then the bones came together, bone to its bone.


YHWH is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. YHWH has ʜɪꜱ way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of ʜɪꜱ feet.


Y’all will flee by my mountain valley for the mountain valley will reach to Azel. Yes, y’all will flee, just like y’all fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. YHWH my God will come, and all the holy ones with ʜɪᴍ.


Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the word of YHWH to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says YHWH Almighty.


One ethnic group will be raised against another ethnic group, and empire against empire. There will be famines, plagues, and earthquakes in various places.


Suddenly, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.


Then his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens.”


Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant was seen in ʜɪꜱ temple. There was lightning, sounds, thunder, an earthquake, and great hailstorm.


There were flashes of lightning and sounds of thunder. And there was a massive earthquake such as there had not been since humans were on the earth, so vast was the earthquake.


Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. The earth and the heaven fled from his face, no place was found for them.


There was a trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people, the garrison and the raiders also trembled, and the earth quaked, so there was an exceedingly great trembling.
