Their eyes were opened, and they both knew that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.


So Gad came to David, and told him, saying, “Should seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or should there be a pestilence in your land for three days? Now answer, and consider what answer I should bring to ʜɪᴍ who sent me.”


YHWH’s anger burned against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.


For it was said to me by the word of YHWH, ‘You must eat no bread or drink water there, and don’t turn again to go by the way that you came.’”


As they sat at the table, the word of YHWH came to the prophet who brought him back;


but came back, and have eaten bread and drank water in the place of which he said to you, “Eat no bread, and drink no water,” your body will not come to the tomb of your fathers.’”


Then he said to him, “Because you have not obeyed YHWH’s voice, as soon as you leave me, a lion will kill you.” As soon as he left him, a lion found him and killed him.

YHWH said to Moses and Aaron, “Because neither of y’all believed in me enough to treat me as holy in the sight of the children of Israel, y’all will not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”


“Aaron will be gathered to his people, for he will not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because y’all rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.


All those I love, I rebuke and chasten. So be zealous and repent.


Why then didn’t you obey YHWH’s voice, but took the plunder, and did that which was evil in YHWH’s sight?”


When he made mention of the ark of God, Eli fell from off his seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck broke, and he died, for he was an old man and heavy. He had judged Israel forty years.
