For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness: but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.


For the natural man perceiveth not the things of the spirit of god: For they are but foolishness unto him. Neither can he perceive them because he is spiritually examined:


¶ And I looked, and lo a lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him C. and xliiij. thousand having his father's name written in their foreheads.


and they sang the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the lamb, saying: Great and marvellous are thy works Lord God almighty, just and true are thy ways, king of the saints.


Let him that hath ears hear what the spirit sayth unto the congregations: To him that overcometh will I give to eat Manna that is hid, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth, saving he that receiveth it.


and they sung a new song saying: thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof, for thou wast killed, and hast redeemed us by thy blood, out of all kindreds, and tongues, and people, and nations,


¶ And I heard the number of them which were sealed, and there were sealed C. and xliiij.M. of all the tribes of the children of Israhell.
