¶ I baptise you in water, in token of repentance, but he that cometh after me, is mightier than I: whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptise you with the holy ghost, and with fire,


And all the land of jewry, and they of Ierusalem went out unto him, and were all baptised of him in the river Iordan, knowledging, their sins.


and many of the children of Israhel shall he turn to their Lord God.


Ihon answered and said to them all: I baptise you with water, but a stronger then cometh, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to unloose: he will baptise you with the holy ghost, and with fire,


For Ihon baptised with water but ye shall be baptised with the holy ghost, and that within this few days.

¶ And many that believed came, and confessed and shewed their works.


And now: why tarriest thou? Arise and be baptised, and wash away thy sins, in calling on the name of the Lord.

in that ye are buried with him thorow baptism, in whom ye are also risen again thorow faith, that is wrought by the operation of God which raised him from death.


of baptism, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection from death, and of eternal judgement.


with meats only and drinks, and divers washings, and justifyings of the flesh, which were ordained until the time of reformation.


¶ Knowledge your faults one to another: and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man availeth much, if it be fervent.


which signifieth baptism that now saveth us, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but in that a good conscience consenteth to God, by the resurrection of Iesus Christ,


If we knowledge our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
