And when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them: whether will ye that I give loose unto you, Barabbas, or Iesus which is called Christ?


¶ The chief priests and the seniors had persuaded the people, that they should ask Barabbas, and should destroy Iesus.


Pilate said unto them: what shall I do then with Iesus, which is called Christ? They all said to him: let him be crucified.


¶ When the farmers saw him, they thought in themselves, saying: this is the heir, come let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.


¶ Pilate called together the high priests, and rulers, and the people,
