And the people said: this is Iesus the prophet of Nazareth a city of Galilee.


¶ Then assembled together the chief priests and scribes and seniors of the people into the palace of the high priest, called Caiphas:


Peter followed him afar off, unto the high priest's place: and went in, and sat with the servants to see the end.


he denied before them all saying: I wot not what thou sayest.


When he was gone out into the porch, another wench saw him, and said unto them that were there: This fellow was also with Iesus of Nazareth:


And Nathanael said unto him: Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him: Come and see.


Other said: this is Christ. Some said: shall Christ come out of Galilee?


They answered, and said unto him: Art thou also of Galile? Search and look, for out of Galile ariseth no prophet.


After this man arose there up one Iudas of Galile, in the time when tribute began, and drew away much people after him. He also perished: and all even as many as harkened to him are scattered a broad.
