¶ This is the book of the generation of Iesus Christ the son of David, the son also of Abraham.


And he gave her never a word to answer. Then came to him his disciples, and besought him saying: send her away, for she followeth us crying.


Master have mercy on my son, for he is frantic, and is sore vexed. And ofttimes falleth in to the fire, and oft into the water.


And his fame spread abroad throughout all Syria. And they brought unto him all sick people, that were taken with divers diseases and gripings, and them that were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy. And he healed them.


¶ And as Iesus departed thence, two blind men followed him crying, and saying: O thou son of David, have mercy on us.


and put forth their voices, and said: Iesu master, have mercy on us.


And the publican stood afar off, and would not lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote his breast, saying: God be mercyfull to me a sinner.


and they also that were vexed with foul spirits, and they were healed.
