As soon as the people were put forth adoors, he went in and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.


And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever forsook her by and by: And she ministered unto them.


And he caught the blind by the hand, and led him out of the town, and spat in his eyes and put his hands upon him, and asked him if he saw anything,


But Iesus caught his hand, and lift him up, and he rose.


And when he came to the house, he suffered no man to go in with him, save Peter, Iames and Ihon, and the father and the mother of the maiden.


And they laughed him to scorn. For they knew that she was dead.


And her spirit came again, and she rose straightway. And he commanded to give her meat.


¶ And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus come forth,


For likewise as the father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them, even so the son quickeneth whom he will.


Peter put them all forth and kneeled down and prayed and turned him to the body, and said: Tabitha, arise. She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.


As it is written: I have ordained thee a father to many nations, before God whom thou hast believed, which quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
