¶ Iesus stood before the deputy: and the deputy asked him, saying: Art thou the king of the jews? Iesus said unto him: Thou sayest.


And began to salute him: Hail king of the jewes.


And Pilate asked him: art thou the king of the jews? And he answered, and said unto him: thou sayest it.


Let Christ the king of Israel now descend from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him, checked him also.


Then said they all: Art thou then the son of God? He said: Ye say that I am.


His superscription was written over him, in greek, latin, and ebrue letters: This is the king of the jews.


Nathanael answered and said unto him: Rabbi, thou art the son of God, Thou art the king of Israhel.


Pilate then went out unto them and said: What accusation bring ye against this man?


and said: hail king of the jewes. And they smote him on the face.


¶ I give thee charge in the sight of God, which quickeneth all things, and before Iesus Christ, which under Pontius Pilate witnessed a good witnessing,
