¶ Agree with thine adversary at once, whiles thou art in the way with him, lest thine adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the minister, and then thou be cast into prison.


There was a Judge in a certain city, which feared not God neither regarded man.


And a great while he would not. Afterward he said unto himself: Though I fear not God, nor care for man,


yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest at the last she come, and rail on me.
