But I say unto you, that here is one greater than the temple.


And see that ye once think not to say in yourselves, we have Abraham to our father. For I say unto you, that God is able of these stones, to raise up children unto Abraham.


The jewes answered him saying: For thy good works' sake we stone thee not: but for thy blasphemy, and because that thou being a man, makest thyself God.


The people answered him: We have heard of the law that Christ bideth ever: and how sayest thou then that the son of man must be lifted up? who is that son of man?


The jewes answered him. We have a law, and by our law he ought to die: because he made himself the son of God.


Art thou greater then our father Iacob, which gave us the well, and he himself drank thereof and his children and his cattle?


Therefore the iewes sought the more to kill him, not only because he had broken the saboth: but said also that God was his father and made himself equal with God.


Iesus said unto them: Verily verily I say unto you: yer Abraham was I am.


whose also are the fathers, and they of whom (as concerning the flesh) Christ came: which is God over all things blessed forever Amen.
