All this was done that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.


and I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.


¶ Before the feast of ester when Iesus knew that his hour was come, that he should depart out of this world unto the father. When he loved his which were in the world, unto the end he loved them.


Simon Peter said unto him: Lord whither goest thou? Iesus answered him: whither I go thou canst not follow me now, thou shalt follow me afterwards.


Behold the hour draweth nye, and is already come, that ye shall be scattered every man his ways, and shall leave me alone. And yet am I not alone. For my father is with me.


And he asked them again: whom seek ye? They said: Iesus of Nazareth.


That the saying might be fulfilled which he spake: of them which thou gavest have I not lost one.


There hath none other temptation taken you, but such as followeth the nature of man. God is faithful, which shall not suffer you to be tempted above your strength: but shall in the midst of the temptation make a way to escape out.


and he said unto me: my grace is sufficient for thee. For my strength is made perfect throu weakness. Very gladly therefore will I rejoice of my weakness, that the strength of Christ may dwell in me.


Husbands love your wives, even as Christ loved the congregation, and gave himself for it,


Cast all your care to him: for he careth for you.
