John 10:6

¶ All these things spake Iesus unto the people by similitudes, and with out similitudes spake he nothing to them,


¶ Iesus said unto them: have ye understood all these things? They said, yee sir.


And without similitude spake he nothing unto them. But when they were apart, he expounded all things to his disciples.


¶ These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs. The time will come when I shall no more speak to you in proverbs: but I shall shew you plainly from my father.


¶ His disciples said unto him: lo now speakest thou plainly, and thou usest no proverb.


¶ The jewes strove among themselves saying: How can this fellow give us his flesh to eat?


Many of his disciples, when they had heard this, said: this is an hard saying. Who can abide the hearing of it?


What manner of saying is this that he said: ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: And where I am, thither can ye not come?


They understood not that he spake of his father.


Why do ye not know my speech? Because ye cannot abide the hearing of my words.


For the natural man perceiveth not the things of the spirit of god: For they are but foolishness unto him. Neither can he perceive them because he is spiritually examined:


It is happened unto them according to the true proverb: The dog is turned to his vomit again, and the sow after she is washed, is returned to her wallowing in the mire.


We know that the son of God is come, and hath given us a mind to know him which is true: and we are in him that is true, through his son Iesu Christ. This same is very God, and eternal life.
