because that when he was often bound with fetters and chains, he plucked the chains asunder, and brake the fetters in pieces: Neither could any man tame him.


wherein were all manner of iiij. footed beasts of the earth and vermin and worms, and fouls of the air.


and the tongue is fire, and a world of wickedness. So is the tongue set among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth a fire all that we have of nature, and is itself set afire, even of hell.


But the tongue can no man tame. It is an unruly evil full of deadly poison.
