When a man heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, there cometh the evil man, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. And this is he which was sown by the way side.


He which is sown in the good ground, is he, that heareth the word and understandeth it, which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundred fold, some fifty fold, and some thirty fold.


¶ Iesus said unto them: have ye understood all these things? They said, yee sir.


¶ And he called the people unto him, and said to them: hear and understand.


¶ When ye then shall see the abomination and desolation (spoken of by Daniel the prophet) stand in the holy place: whosoever readeth it, let him understand it.


¶ Moreover when ye see the abominable desolation, whereof is spoken by Daniel the prophet, stand where it ought not, let him that readeth understand it. Then let them that be in jewrie, flee to the mountains.


Iesus said unto them: My meat is to fulfill the will of him that sent me. And to finish his work.


¶ Search the scriptures, for in them, ye think ye have eternal life: And they are they which testify of me.


He arose and went on, and behold a man of Ethiopia which was gelded, and of great authority with Candace queen of the Ethiophians, which had the rule of all her treasure, came to Ierusalem for to pray.


¶ The spirit said unto Philip: Go near and join thyself to yonder chariot.


And he said: how can I, except I had a guide? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.


Then came Philip into a city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.


Yet had I lever in the congregation to speak five words with my mind to the information of other, rather than ten thousand words with the tongue.


wherefore, be ye not unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is,


Here is wisdom. Let him that hath wit count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred, threescore and six.
