¶ See that ye despise not one of these little ones. For I say unto you, that in heaven their angels behold the face of my father, which is in heaven.


¶ Furthermore brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things pertain to love, whatsoever things are of honest report, if there be any virtuous thing, if there be any laudable thing, those same have ye in your mind,


¶ And ye counterfeited us, and of the Lord: and received the word in much affliction, with joy of the holy ghost:


Ye are witnesses, and so is God, how holily and justly (that no man could blame us) we behaved ourselves among you that believe,


but the grace of our Lord was more abundant, with faith and love, which is in Christ Iesu.


¶ Study to shew thyself laudable unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, dividing the word of truth justly.


¶ Lusts of youth avoid, and follow righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with them that call on the Lord with pure heart.


Consider what I say. The Lord give thee understanding in all things.


These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke, with all commanding. See that no man despise thee.


¶ Above all things shew thyself an ensample of good works in the doctrine, shew uncorruption, honesty,


Who is wise and endued with learning among you? Let him shew the works of his good conversation in meekness that is coupled with wisdom.


but the wisdom that is from above, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without judging, and without simulation:


Not as though ye were lords over the parishes: but that ye be an ensample to the flock.
