And the ten hearing it, were moved with indignation against the two brethren.


And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority dost thou these things? And who gave thee this authority?


And the multitudes that went before and that followed after cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David; blessed in the name of the Lord is he that cometh: Hosanna in the highest.


Whose son is he? They say to him, David's.


Then the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled together, at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.


Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council sought false witness against Jesus,


When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus, to put him to death.


But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude, to ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.


And when Jesus passed thence, two blind men followed him, crying and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.


And the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his teaching.


And on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,


And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; but they feared the people.


And when it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together,


That he will not come to the feast? Now both the chief priests and Pharisees had given order, That if any man knew where he was, he should shew it, that they might apprehend him.


The Pharisees therefore said to each other, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? Behold the world is gone after him.


When therefore the Lord knew, that the Pharisees had heard, Jesus maketh and baptizeth more disciples than John,


But some said, Doth Christ come out of Galilee? Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the town where David was?
