Then came Peter to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?


So likewise will my heavenly Father do to you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.


Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.


But when ye sin thus against your brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.


And though I wrote to you, it was not for his sake who had done the wrong, nor for his sake who had suffered it, but for the sake of manifesting to you in the sight of God our diligent care over you.


Brethren, if a man be overtaken in any fault, ye who are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.


Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.


That none circumvent or defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger of all these things, as we have also told you before and testified.


Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

In like manner, ye wives, be subject to your own husbands, that if any obey not the word, they also may, without the word, be won by the conversation of the wives,
