Jesus saith to them, Have ye understood all these things? They say to him, Yea, Lord.


And calling the multitudes he said to them, Hear and understand.


Then answered Peter and said to him, Declare to us this parable.


Do not ye yet understand, that whatever entereth into the mouth, goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the vault?


How do ye not understand, that I spake not to you concerning bread, to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Saducees?


Do ye not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?


For they considered not the miracle of the loaves; for their heart was hardened.


And he saith to them, Are even ye so without understanding? Do ye not perceive, That whatsoever entereth into a man from without, cannot defile him,


But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.


And they understood none of these things; and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.


Then opened he their understanding,


But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, so that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of this saying.


For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again, which are the first principles of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk and not of strong meat.
