How can one enter into the strong one's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong one?


When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh thro' dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.


Then goeth he and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it be also to this wicked generation.


And coming he findeth it swept and garnished.


This he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the purse, and bare what was put therein.


And while they were at supper (the devil having now put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon,

For there must be heresies also among you, that the approved among you may be manifest).


who were dead in trespasses and sins, Wherein ye formerly walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in time past,


They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest, that they were not all of us.


Ye are of God, beloved children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
