Then Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him, saying, Favour thyself, Lord: this shall in no wise be unto thee.


And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes, that Elijah must come first?


But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.


And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them to tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.


These things his disciples understood not at first; but when Jesus had been glorified, then they remembered, that these things were written of of him, and that they had done these things to him.


Then some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers incountered him: and some said, What would this babler say? Others, he seemeth to be a proclaimer of strange gods; because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection.
