And as he sowed, some fell by the way-side, and the birds of the air came and devoured it.


But when the sun was up, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.


Those on the rock are they, who, when they hear, receive the word with joy. But they have no root, who for a while believe; but in time of temptation fall away.


And some fell upon a rock, and springing up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
