So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many are called, but few chosen.


When the evening was come, there came a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was a disciple of Jesus.


And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest, and sat with the officers, and warmed himself.


And Pilate marvelled that he was dead already: and calling to him the centurion, he asked, If he had been any while dead?


And behold there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and religious, waiting for the Consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.


And she coming in at that hour, gave thanks to the Lord, and spake of him to all that were waiting for redemption in Jerusalem.


And behold there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor, a good man and a just:


(He had not consented to the counsel and deed of them) of Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who also himself waited for the kingdom of God:


And after these things, Joseph of Arimathea (being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews) asked Pilate leave, to take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore and took the body of Jesus.


But the Jews stirred up the devout, honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.


Therefore many of them believed, and of the Grecian women of considerable rank, and of the men not a few.


And many of the brethren trusting in the Lord through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word without fear.
