Thinkest thou that I cannot now ask my Father, and he will presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?


And his fame went thro' all Syria; and they brought to him all sick people, that were seized with divers diseases and tormenting pains; even demoniacs, and lunaticks, and paralytics; and he healed them.


And behold they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God?


Now when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.


And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered saying, My name is Legion; for we are many.


And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had gone seven devils,


(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man: for many times it had caught him, and he had been kept bound with chains and fetters, and breaking the bands asunder, he had been driven by the spirit into the deserts.)
