And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease, and all manner of malady among the people.


And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.


And Jesus answering spake to the scribes and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?


And he came to Nazareth, where he was brought up; and as his custom was; he went into the synagogue on the sabbath, and stood up to read.


And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.


And on the first sabbath after the second day of unleavened bread, he went thro' the corn-fields, and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and ate, rubbing them in their hands.


And he said to them, The Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.


In these lay a great multitude of diseased, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.


Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner, do such miracles?
