Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy: what further need have we of witnesses? Behold now ye have heard his blasphemy.


And behold certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.


Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance; and say not within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father; for I say to you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.


And on a certain day as he was teaching, there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every town of Galilee, and out of Judea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.


Who can forgive sins but God only? And Jesus knowing their thoughts, answered and said to them, Why reason ye in your hearts?


Who is this that forgiveth sins also?


The Jews answered him, We stone thee not for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.


Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
