And shall deliver him to the Gentiles, to mock and scourge and crucify him; and the third day he shall rise again.


Ye know that after two days is the Passoever, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.


Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and rise again the third day.


So the saying of Jesus was fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.


And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,


And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, taking him down from the tree, they laid him in a sepulchre.


Him being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands, have crucified and slain:


The God of our fathers hath raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, hanging him on a tree.


Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: (for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:


Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sin might live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
