Whosoever shall exalt himself, shall be humbled, and he that shall humble himself, shall be exalted.


saying, Happy are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.


He hath put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted them of low degree.


But he willing to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour?


humbleth himself shall be exalted.


And he said to them, Ye are they who justify yourselves before men: but God knoweth your hearts: And that which is highly esteemed among men, is an abomination before God.


Therefore no flesh shall be justified in his sight by the works of the law; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.


But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is imputed to him for righteousness.


Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:


Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.


and not sinners of the Gentiles, Even we (knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ) have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.


Humble yourselves in the sight of God, and he will lift you up.


But he giveth greater grace: therefore it saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.
