Forasmuch as many have undertaken to compose a narrative of the facts which have been fully confirmed among us,


The former treatise have I composed, O Theophilus, of all things which Jesus began both to do and to teach,


Then Peter beginning, laid all things before them in order, saying, I was praying in the city of Joppa,


Wherefore my sentence is, That we trouble not them who from among the Gentiles turn to God.


It seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send to you chosen men,


For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us, that no further burden be laid upon you than these necessary things, To abstain from meats offered to idols and blood,


And having spent some time there, he departed, and went over the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, confirming all the disciples.


As this man was seized by the Jews,


But that I may not trouble thee farther,


But he said, I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but utter the words of truth and sobriety.


As to our brother Apollos, I besought him much, to come to you with the brethren; yet he was by no means willing to come now; but he will come, when it shall be convenient.


But she is happier, if she continue as she is, in my judgment; and I think that I also have the Spirit of God.


If thou remind the brethren of these things, thou wilt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourishing them with the words of faith, and of the good doctrine whereto thou hast attained.
