I have spoken these things to you, that my joy might remain in you, and your joy might be full.


I have yet many things to say to you; but ye cannot bear them now.


Hitherto ye have asked nothing in my name: ask (and ye shall receive) that your joy may be full.


And now I am coming to thee, and I speak these things in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.


He that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly, because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.


for I hope to see you as I pass by, and to be brought forward by you in my way thither, if first I may be somewhat satisfied with your company.


Longing to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;


Withal prepare me also a lodging; for I trust I shall be given to you through your prayers.


And I beseech you to do this the more earnestly, that I may be restored to you the sooner.


Know that our brother Timotheus is set at liberty, with whom, if he come soon, I will see you.


And these things write we to you, that your joy may be full.


Wherefore if I come I will remember his wicked deeds which he doth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
