7 I will remove the blood from his mouth, forbidden food from between his teeth. Whoever is left will be a remnant for our God. He will be like a leader in Judah, and Ekron will be like a Jebusite.

And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it, but while he was doing so, Adonai saw and was grieved over the calamity. He said to the destroying angel, “Enough! Now withdraw your hand!” The angel of Adonai was then standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.


I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people all around who have taken their stand against me.

A mongrel people will live in Ashdod and I will cut off the Philistines’ pride.


But I will camp around My House against marauding forces. No oppressor will overrun them again— for now I watch with My own eyes.
