Adonai, let me not be ashamed, for I have called upon You. Let the wicked be ashamed— let them be silent in Sheol.


Yet You crushed us in a place of jackals, covered us with the shadow of death.


In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan, swearing allegiance to Adonai-Tzva’ot. One used to be called the City of the Sun.


By Myself I have sworn— the word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness, and is irrevocable: that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear.


So he who says a bracha in the land will be blessed by the God of truth, and he who swears in the land will swear by the God of truth. For the former troubles are forgotten, because they are hidden from My sight!


Therefore give their children to famine and pour out the power of the sword. Let their wives be bereaved of children, and widows, and let their men be slain to death, and their young men struck down by the sword in battle.

Now we know that whatever the Torah says, it says to those within the Torah, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become accountable to God.


You must fear Adonai your God and serve Him, and swear by His Name.


Now when God made His promise to Abraham—since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,


“Don’t be afraid,” he said to him, “because my father Saul will never find you. You will be king over Israel and I will be second to you. Even my father Saul recognizes that.”


Now behold, I know for certain that you will be king, and that the kingdom of Israel will rise in your hand.
