Come and see the works of God. How awesome His deeds for the children of Adam!


For a complete destruction, as decreed, will Adonai Elohei-Tzva’ot make throughout the whole land.


They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Adonai, as the waters cover the sea.


He will judge between the nations and decide for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning knives. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war any more.


No more will violence be heard in your land, devastation nor destruction within your borders. But you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.


Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand.


I will cut off the cities of your land, and throw down all your strongholds.


But Adonai said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I will give all of them slain before Israel. You are to hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”


Joshua did to them as Adonai had instructed him—he hamstrung their horses and burnt their ­chariots with fire.


The bows of the mighty are broken, but the stumbling are girded with strength.
