In their secret counsel may my soul not enter. In their contingent may my honor never be united. For in their anger they slew men, and in their self-will they maimed oxen.


For the Jews there was light and gladness, joy and honor.


as the days when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into celebration. These were to be days of feasting, celebration and sending presents of food to one another and giving gifts to the poor.


But I trust in Your lovingkindness, my heart rejoices in Your salvation. I will sing to Adonai, because He has been good to me.


Every day I will bless You, and praise Your Name forever and ever!


So my heart is glad and my soul rejoices. My body also rests secure.


For You saved us from our oppressors and put to shame those who hated us.


My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing, yes, I will make music.


But I—I will hope continually and will praise You more and more.
