Will the evildoers never learn? They consume My people as they would eat bread, and never call upon God.


As it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.”


In fact, we had within ourselves the death sentence—so that we might not rely on ourselves, but on God who raises the dead.


They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they were murdered with the sword. They went around in sheepskins and goatskins; they were destitute, afflicted, mistreated.
