Arrogant lips are not fitting for a fool, much less lying lips for a ruler.


Like cutting off one’s feet or drinking violence is sending a message by a fool’s hand.


Like tying a stone into a sling, so is giving honor to a fool.


Like a thorn bush in a drunkard’s hand is a proverb in a fool’s mouth.


But He said to them, “Doubtless you will say to Me this proverb, ‘Doctor, heal yourself!’ and ‘What we have heard was done at Capernaum, do as much here also in your hometown.’”
