So it was, as God destroyed the cities of the surrounding area, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the upheaval, when He demolished the cities where Lot had dwelt.


I myself have seen a fool taking root, but suddenly I cursed his dwelling.


He leans against his house but it does not stand, He holds fast to it, but it does not hold up.


Who is wise? Let him observe these things, and consider Adonai’s lovingkindness.


You love evil instead of good, lying rather than speaking right. Selah


Righteousness guards one who walks in integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.


The house of the wicked will be demolished, but the tent of the upright will flourish.


The wicked is brought down in his calamity yet the righteous has a refuge even in death.


When the wicked thrive, wrongdoing increases, but the righteous will see their downfall.


Ephraim: “What more are idols to me? I have responded and observed Him. I will be like a luxuriant cypress tree. From me will be found Your fruit.”


I overthrew some of you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. You became like a firebrand snatched from a blaze— yet you have not returned to Me,” declares Adonai.


Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the desert.
