Proverbs 15:1

Then all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is our close relative. So why are you angry over this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s cost? Or has he given us any gifts?”


They spoke to him, saying: “If you will be a servant to this people today, serving them, granting them their petition, and speaking favorably to them, then they will be your servants forever.”


They answered him saying, “If you will be kind to this people and please them and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.”


Who has confronted Me that I should repay? Everything under heaven belongs to Me.


Hatred stirs up strife but love covers up all transgressions.


A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but one who is slow to anger calms a quarrel.


Through patience a ruler may be persuaded, and a soft tongue can break a bone.


A greedy soul stirs up strife, but one who trusts in Adonai prospers.


An angry man stirs up dissention, and a hotheaded one commits many transgressions.


Mockers incite a city, but wise men turn away anger.
