He took him outside and said, “Look up now, at the sky, and count the stars—if you are able to count them.” Then He said to him, “So shall your seed be.”


I will richly bless you and bountifully multiply your seed like the stars of heaven, and like the sand that is on the seashore, and your seed will possess the gate of his enemies.


You multiplied their descendants like the stars of heaven, and You brought them into the land that You told their ancestors to enter and inherit.


He spoke, and the locust came —young locusts without number—


Who planned this against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants were princes, whose traders were the honored of earth?


As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David My servant, and the Levites who minister to Me.”
