The book of the genealogy of Yeshua ha-Mashiach, Ben-David, Ben-Avraham:


the blind see and the lame walk, those with tza'arat are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.


And behold, a Canaanite woman from that district came out and started shouting, “Have mercy on me, O Master, Ben-David! My daughter is severely tormented by a demon.”


“Master, have mercy on my son, for he has seizures and suffers badly. For he often falls into the fire and often into the water.


Now as they were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed Him.


But when the ruling kohanim and Torah scholars saw the wonders He performed, and the children crying out in the Temple and saying, “Hoshia-na to Ben-David,” they became indignant.


The crowds going before Him and those following kept shouting, saying, “Hoshia-na to Ben-David! Baruch ha-ba b’shem Adonai! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hoshia-na in the highest!”


When He went into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Yeshua said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Master,” they said to Him.


Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hoshia-na in the highest!”


“It has often thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion and help us!”


and raised their voices, saying, “Yeshua, Master, have mercy on us!”


Then Yeshua said to them, “How can they say that the Messiah is Ben-David?


At this very hour He was healing many of diseases, sicknesses, and evil spirits; and He granted sight to many who were blind.


Didn’t the Scripture say that the Messiah comes from the seed of David and from Bethlehem, David’s town?”


Concerning His Son, He came into being from the seed of David according to the flesh.


To them belong the patriarchs—and from them, according to the flesh, the Messiah, who is over all, God, blessed forever. Amen.
