Then God said, “Let lights in the expanse of the sky be for separating the day from the night. They will be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.


Then the king’s servants who were at the king’s gate said to Mordecai, “Why are you disobeying the king’s command?”


And answering, He said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?


And they saw that some of His disciples were eating bread with unclean hands, that is, not washed.


The Pharisees and Torah scholars questioned Yeshua, “Why don’t Your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders? Why do they eat bread with unwashed hands?”


But the Pharisee was surprised when he saw that Yeshua did not do the ritual handwashing before the meal.


I was even advancing within Judaism beyond many my own age among my people, being a more extreme observer of my fathers’ traditions.


See that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men and the basic principles of the world rather than Messiah.


You know that you were redeemed from the futile way of life handed down from your ancestors—not with perishable things such as silver or gold,
