In Jerusalem he made machines designed by skillful men to be used on the towers and on the corners to shoot arrows and hurl large stones. So his fame spread far, for he was marvelously helped until he became strong.


The Ammonites paid tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread abroad even to the border of Egypt, for he became exceedingly strong.


But they went out and spread the news about Him all around that region.


And immediately news about Him spread throughout the region surrounding Galilee.


But he went out and began to proclaim and spread the word, so much that Yeshua could no longer enter a town openly but had to stay out in wilderness areas. Still, they kept on coming to Him from everywhere.


They told Him, “John the Immerser; and others Elijah; but others, one of the prophets.”


In that hour, some Pharisees came up and said to Yeshua, “Get out and leave from here, because Herod wants to kill You!”


It was now the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar—when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of the Galilee, and his brother Philip was tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene.


This report concerning Him spread throughout all Judea and the surrounding region.


They replied, “John the Immerser, but others Elijah, and others that some prophet from among the ancients has arisen.”


For the word of the Lord rang out from you—not just in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faithfulness toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything.


At the same time, God was testifying by signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Ruach ha-Kodesh, according to His will.
