Now then, sons, listen to me, pay attention to the words of my mouth.


“So now, children, listen to me! Blessed are those who keep my ways.


In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not let your hand be idle, for you do not know if this or that will succeed, or if both will prosper together.


Listen to Me, you stubborn-hearted, who are far from righteousness:


“Listen to Me, house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, borne by Me from birth, carried from the womb.


He presented to them another parable, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.


Now when the stalk sprouted and produced grain, then the weeds also appeared.


And He told them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a sower went out to spread some seed.


He began teaching them many things by parables, and in His teaching, He said to them:


If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”


It happened that as he sowed, some fell beside the road; and the birds came and ate it up.


And He said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”


But Peter, standing with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed them: “Fellow Judeans and all who are staying in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and pay attention to my words.


“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances that I am teaching you to do, so that you may live and go in and possess the land that Adonai the God of your fathers is giving you.


Listen, my dear brothers and sisters. Didn’t God choose the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom that He promised to those who love Him?
